It is getting close to that time of year, SUMMER! Every kid longs for it, and moms (let’s be honest) dread it. Sure, for the first few weeks it’s glorious. Sleeping in, spending time together, the plans for vacations. Then reality hits. And the phrase that has potential to send mom over the edge; “I’M BORED.” Finger nails on a chalkboard, y’all. For whatever reason my kids don’t like my answer of, “Then go clean your room,” so I decided to come up with a list of things to do to combat the Summer time blues. We brainstormed together as a family as well as borrowed suggestions from online and came up with our list. We then cut them up and placed them in a mason jar. On days when I feel the boredom is at a peek, we will draw an activity from the jar. At the end of the day, we will sit down and journal about our day and any activities in our Family Journal. So here is our list. Do you have any on your list that you want to share? Feel free to drop them in the comments!
